Civic Partner Program

Sharing public meeting video advances SeeGov's mission of expanding thoughtful and consistent participation in democracy. Unaltered source video helps residents hear directly from officials and neighbors.

Independent newsrooms (or the first in a group) qualify by publishing at least two video highlights per month. Eligible Local and Regional newsrooms receive a $49 monthly credit. Additional coverage and other add-ons are priced separately.

Coverage and features

Coverage for both standard and custom bodies requires publicly available meeting recordings that SeeGov can access and process. Contact us to confirm availability for existing or requested bodies.

Standard Body: A primary local elected body, such as a city council, county commission, or school board. Includes the body's public meeting formats, public hearings, and standing committees whose voting members are elected officials from that same body. In New England municipalities, standard coverage is limited to primary directly elected executive, legislative, education, and land-use boards. In New England municipalities, qualifying directly elected boards share one coverage allowance slot for the municipality.
Custom Body: A separately monitored public body outside the Standard Body definition, such as an appointed planning commission, task force, advisory board, state board, or specialized video feed.
Search All Governments: Search across governments for broader research and occasional coverage. For routine monitoring of a government, add it to your subscription. Included on Regional and Enterprise; available as an add-on for Local.

Limitations

* Hyperlocal, Local, and Regional plans: One newsroom serving a contiguous coverage area can share a subscription across multiple publications or mastheads. Separate subscriptions are needed when publications operate different newsrooms or serve noncontiguous areas.

All plans include reasonable video bandwidth. SeeGov reserves the right to work with customers on alternative hosting solutions if usage consistently exceeds typical patterns.
